Great image. However I feel the framing is way to strong. You want the image to pop out at ya not the frame. in any case inside the frame is a fave! :)

Thanks! Thank you for the tip too. I should make my frame a little more simplistic, once more thing to add to my ever lengthening to do list!

No matter. It is a great image. If it will be judged in a competition though, you might want to change it.

Thanks! None of my images that I enter in competitions have the borders on them. They are only matted if that is required. The reason I have borders on here is for a place to put my copyright.

AH!
So glad to hear you compete great work! Yea I do that to my images sometimes when the copyright looks awful directly on the print.

I do a few competitions here and there. I competed in our county fair this year, one at my school last year, and then one open competition. So I dabble in it whenever there is one available.

It is good to hear different judges critiques. :)

Most definitely. Everyone has something a little (or a lot) different to say and you can learn from all of them.

Nope, no Photoshop besides the b/w conversion and basic contrast and sharpening.

Thank you for the lovely comment. It was kind of one of those "ah-ha" momments when I saw the fence, the horse, and the line of snow. Thanks!

I like this image. I dont think I could really tell you why other than the composition is appealing to me :D

I think that is why I like this image too. I kind of had the current EPN composition assignment in my head when shooting this one. It might not fit the thirds rules, the I tried to create an interesting composition.
